Agenda
The inaugural Numenta HTM Workshop has a single technical track, spanning everything from introductory sessions to debugging to open labs where you can get your network reviewed by Numenta engineers. Because there is no business track for this first HTM Workshop, the workshop is not recommended for non-technical people with general interest in HTM and in Numenta.
Those attending the Numenta HTM Workshop are expected to have a basic mastery of HTM theory and NuPIC. For newcomers to HTM and NuPIC, a half day jump-start program is offered the day before the conference. The jump-start program is offered at no charge to registered HTM Workshop attendees.
Schedule
We've put together a complete schedule for you (subject to change). Covering everything from biological mappings to configuring your network to debugging your system.
Keynotes
Join Jeff Hawkins as he discusses Hierarchical Temporal Memory, the mapping to the human neocortex, and more. This is a talk that should not be missed!
Reception
Join your fellow community members and Numenta engineers over food and drinks while you discuss the latest in Hierarchical Temporal Memory. Spend some time reviewing the posters in the venue, and catch up on some of the latest research.
Open Labs
Explore the depths of NuPIC with the Open Labs program. Pose your questions to fellow Numenta community members, including Numenta engineers. Bring your laptop and your NuPIC network, and we'll help you debug, optimize, or design experiments for your code. Or, come to us with details about the problem you're trying to solve, and we'll do our best to help you frame the problem appropriately.
Birds-of-a-Feather
The Numenta Birds of a Feather (BOF) sessions are designed to allow like-minded individuals to come together and trade ideas, ask questions, suggest datasets, agree on collaboration, etc., all focused on a specific area in regards to HTMs.
Lightning Talks
The Numenta Lightning Talks are quick, five minute talks, given back to back with your fellow community presenters to the entire Numenta HTM Workshop audience.
Posters
A poster is a large document that can communicate your research, project, ideas, and provoding enough information that people can understand your project with or without interaction from the author.
